Introduction:
The torque limiter is a downhole drilling tool based on an autonomous mechanical anti-lock mechanism, featuring both axial and torsional vibration damping functions. When axial impact forces become excessive, the internal energy accumulation mechanism effectively absorbs these axial shocks. When torsional torque exceeds safe limits, a pressure-torsion conversion mechanism transforms the torque into axial force, which compresses the accumulator to actively control the depth of cut of the drill bit's cutting elements into the formation. This effectively mitigates torque peaks experienced by the drill bit and prevents bit locking during drilling operations.
Features and Benefits:
★ With its torque-to-pressure conversion design, it provides proactive control of bit bite to reduce torque spikes and sticking.
★ An energy-accumulating mechanism for efficient axial impact absorption and bidirectional damping.
★ Autonomous downhole mechanical anti-lock mechanism for reliable operation without external input.
